Felt Adjustable Feltri Armchair by Gaetano Pesce for Cassina, 1987
High armchair and low armchair entirely made of thick wool felt. In the lower part, the thermosetting resin impregnated felt guarantees rigidity and resistance. The seat is fixed to the structure by hemp ties. The armchair is completed by a mattress in quilted fabric.
A throne that recalls archaic images and the idea of "primitive" living.
Made with a production technique for which a patent was filed in 1987, Feltri armchair expresses a desire to investigate materials and plays with the relationship between art and utility.
