Italian Alien chair by Carlo and Gianni Forcolini for Alias, 1982
Carlo Forcolini was one of the greatest and most influential Italian masters of the twentieth century. His bold, playful and full of fantasy approach led to a series of chairs and stools that capture attention with strong geometric shapes and colors, along with a touch of humor. One of his most famous projects is undoubtedly the "smiling" Alien chair, produced by Alias, in fact since 1969 he has worked as a designer and entrepreneur, taking part in the founding of Alias. Designed by Carlo Forcolini in 1980, the simple but elegant Alien chair has elegant and sinuous lines that make it ideal for any type of interior design, commercial or residential. With a sturdy structure in black metal rod, which makes the chair comfortable and practical and the back in red MDF. In this case it is a prototype and can be seen from the lack of the toe / stop, added later, so as not to allow the chair to overturn.
