Mario Bellini for C&B, 1971
Modular Camaleonda sofa by Mario Bellini, C&B, 1971
This modular sofa was designed by Mario Bellini in 1971 for C&B. The backs and armrests are provided with rings and carabiners, which allows to create the more comfortable and personal configuration. The five sectional elements of this sofa can be used like single armchairs and you can take the backs off and have as a day bed or use a footstool for instance. The structure is covered with its original sand coloured corduroy, absolutely perfect. This design became famous almost immediately after it was featured in the exhibition ‘Italy and The New Domestic Landscape’ held in the MOMA Museum in 1972.
